Elise Fulara, MA, IBCLC, RLC, CLC
Elise is deeply committed to providing a high level of breastfeeding support to families. She knows firsthand the importance of connecting to breastfeeding support, because she needed and greatly benefited from it as a new mother more than 10 years ago. Breastfeeding became a keystone of her parenting journey, and after the birth of her second child she became passionate about supporting other families in her community to reach their goals.
Elise has been working with breastfeeding families since 2010. She is a peer counselor with La Leche League and an accredited Breastfeeding USA Counselor and has taught breastfeeding and babywearing classes since 2011, She was a board member of Breastfeed Chicago, a non-profit advocacy organization from 2011-2016. Her professional training as an anthropologist has helped her more deeply understand normal baby behavior and be sensitive to the many adjustments new families undergo when new welcoming new additions. She began working as a breastfeeding counselor in a hospital setting in 2015 and earned her IBCLC board certification in 2016.
Elise serves as Secretary for the Northern Illinois Lactation Consultant Association, and is a member of Breastfeeding USA and the United States Lactation Consultant Association. She lives in Elmhurst, IL with her husband and enjoys gardening and values time spent with her growing children.
